And
so every 6 months or so, we headed to the local hospital and took x-rays. As you can
see, the quality of these x-rays varied, and so too, the degree of the curve.
We were assured that a 3° variance in the Cobb angle (the way of measuring the
curve) is an acceptable variance – one that we need not worry too much about.
By June 2011, we found that the curve had remained the same, and it seemed that
his condition looked quite stable for the time being. We came out of that
meeting with hopeful hearts, even though we were warned to be on the lookout
for the slightest indication that the curve was starting to deteriorate again, especially
when Daryl hits his big growth spurt…
